And how is it in the "public interest?" When Yendu tells Yendu Jr. the facts of life, how is it "public interest?" And if a parent signs a permission slip allowing THEIR child to go to a private conference, how is that "public interest?"

So you don't think that sexual activity involving underaged children, with or without the consent of the parents, is a matter of public interest? Jacko claims the kids he goes to bed with are there with their parents' knowledge and permission. So that's all right, is it?

I don't tell people how to raise their kids... it's none of my business.

I do tell people (through my representatives) how to raise their kids. I tell them they can't injure them, starve them or sexually molest them. I tell them they have to send them to school. Etc.

Illegal interception of oral communications, on the other hand, IS a matter of public interest.

It varies from state to state. In this state, for example, it's entirely legal to tape a meeting at which one is present.
