I saw a program on C-SPAM on this book Reagan's War: The author shows how Reagan's fight with the communists in Hollywood, gave President the insight and method of operation of how communists think, therefore the ability to go for the "Evil Empire's" weak link.

More and more, people are comparing GWB with Reagan. I have often read that GWB studied his father's and Reagan's presidencies in great detail...guess he liked Reagan's better..hehehehe...

I remember a political cartoon during the the Reagan years....it depicted RR hacking through thick brush with a machete. One guy says to another who are following him, "I don't know where he is going, but I like the way he leads." Well, just as GWB knows where he wants to go today, RR led us to safety and a better world. We can not ask more of our Commander in Chief. God bless Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush

That is the key to both Reagan's and Bush's success. The American people like and trust them. They may not agree with every single policy decision, but they have faith in them to do the right thing. The media just doesn't get this. This morning, I had the joy of watching a very sad Tim Russert reporting that President Bush's approval ratings had jumped 7% since their last poll. He looked crushed and it absolutely made my day!

President Bush continues to be "misunderestimated" by nearly all his detractors and a great many of his supporters.
He is the right man for this job today.

President Bush is never swayed by the editorials that attack him and I love that about him. The "misunderestimation" by his foes eventually shows them to be fools.

That is a trait he seems to share with President Reagan. Reagan's War points out that the former President fought his entire career, Hollywood and political, for his core beliefs and did not care what others thought. That is the mark of a true leader.

I agree. True leaders don't cave!

Thanks for posting this article in honor of President Ronald Reagan's 92nd birthday. The US was in good hands under Reagan and is currently being governed under the solid leadership of President George W.Bush. It's true, both men are, "[m]odels of political courage".
It is obvious that President Bush greatly admires President Reagan and has organized his adminsitration along the lines of the Reagan Presidency, that of high moral leadership, unquestionable integrity and steadfast personal character. America is fortunate to have such a man leading us, especially in this time of uncertainty.
I think President Reagan would approve of how President Bush is handling the war on terrorism, securing the homefront and engaging in political battle with the loyal opposition.
I say, so far, so good!

Yep; W's making a good administration on his enemies' misunderestimitization of his strategeries.

"As on Reagan's birthday, as war appears imminent, both men should be applauded for the quality of their courage. No doubt the world is learning about George W. Bush what they wrote once about Reagan in his KGB file: "His word and deed are one in the same."That says it all, for me!

The Berlin essay title is based on a scrap of poetry from the ancient Greek Archilochus.
"The fox knows many things, but the hedgehog knows one big thing."

I think President Reagan would approve of how President Bush is handling the war on terrorism, securing the homefront and engaging in political battle with the loyal opposition. I wish President Reagan was in a position to speak about the presidency of George W. Bush...I, too, think his view would be positive and supportive. On the 92nd birthday of President Reagan, I salute him for his courage, convictions and integrity. I view President Bush in the same manner. We have been lucky to have both men.
