SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - A marijuana advocate and the jury that convicted him are making an unexpected show of solidarity: Jurors claim they were misled and the defendant says it isn't them he blames. Ed Rosenthal, the self-described "Guru of Ganja," was allowed Tuesday to remain free on $200,000 bail until his June 4 sentencing on federal drug violations.

Great, you use, as evidence, a letter written by a paid proponent of dope.

All the author did was look at the ONDCP's own numbers on the subject, and they don't add up. The Drug Czar has been running around telling lies easily refuted by the goverment's own research. Smart, very smart.

Provide evidence for your claim that Daniel Forbes is "a paid proponent of dope."

Heck, that's obvious isn't it? The guy refuses to toe the Party Line, and even has the gall to actually check on the Government's own numbers and call out the Drug Czar on his lies.

If this guy was truly growing pot for sale to the city for it's legal medical marijuana program, he should get off. If the program is illegal, then the feds should go after the city, not this guy.

No, being psychoanalyzed for stating the obvious-but-irrelevant.

Cities have access to tax dollars to defend themselves and PR flacks to make a stink about it. Hence the need to go after the private citizen.

Google yourself and you will see that he makes his money writing for such rags as High Times, Drug Policy News, The Lindsmith Center, etc., all "pro legalization of all drugs" including date-rape drugs, groups.

No, but should we, as these drug pushers in three peice suits advocate, make all drugs legal and create a who new class of welfare-supported addicted people?

Claims about what you've seen are just that---claims, not evidence.

The next step, and the machinations have already begun due to the Feds cracking down on private citizens, is to have the cities grow and distribute themselves. Should be very interesting.

Pro-legalization publications hire pro-legalization writers, and anti-legalization publications hire anti-legalization writers; if pro-legalization writers are discredited by who hires them, then so are anti-legalization writers.

We should end welfare and legalize drugs. Using one violation of rights (welfare) to excuse another violation of rights (drug ban) is not a conservative argument.

how many people are now on welfare because they burned their brains out on drugs?

We also pay for the jackass that goes skiing off trail and has to have a $2 million search and rescue team extract him by helicopter, but I'm not in favor of outlawing skiing because of it.

One of my client companies works in the anti-drug field.

That doesn't really carry any weight. John Walters works in the anti-drug field and his job is to find new and innovative ways to make lies about the War On Drugs seem plausible.

Please, you sound like someone who cares, not some doper. Go see for yourself. First you will be shocked.

Well, you've got that right. I'm not a "doper" and never have been. But your pleading presumes that I have no family in public schools and have never been inside a public school since the 70s. That's completely wrong in a big way. I'm very well aware of the situation in public schools.
