I did not know that this site was even on line, I just happened to find it. Thank you for your comments. I know it has been awhile since this happened. I know the kids involved with this. All have grown up to be awesome young adults.The boy that this happened to was taking lessons from a guy that used to play with the Mets. They had (have) been friends for years. They would go late at night and practice at this field with about 5 other people, 2 of which were (are) youth pastors at local churches. He (the victim) ended up being All American, All National, and All State (2 times). So, his work payed off. It was proven that there was NO alcohol, drugs, or sex involved with this incident. The thing that helped with these kids is that all of their parents DID know where they were. The cell phone calls to and from parents is what helped convict this police officer. The reason I am on this site tonight is because we just found out that a city is NOT responsible for the behavior of a police officer. So, if a police officer beats you up HE not the city is responsible. Sorta a scary thought. Also, the police officer is now serving 145 years for the abduction, rape, and sodomy, of a 16 year old girl.
