Maybe somebody (who, me?) ought to start a FReepers Cool Actors list of Hollywood names (actors and producers, etc.) who are out-of-the-closet NON-lefties. You know, you never see conservative actors drumming up petitions or going on big crusades to get people to join their bandwagon, like you do with liberals. That's why I think it's not particularly hypocritical to fawn over out-of-the-closet conservative/libertarian/Republican actors while chastizing folks like Rob Reiner, Streisand, and Jane Fonda.

FWIW, I also think it's good to patronize the movies of Hollywood folks who've remained apolitical. That, too, is attractive in an actor!

Patricia Heaton, the woman who plays the wife on Everybody Loves Raymond

Johnny Ramone, band leader of the Ramones (he even mentioned his support for President Bush in his Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame acceptance speech). CJ isn't a diehard conservative like Johnny but he does support the NRA as a means of defending rights. The Ramones website has changed and I can't find Johnny Top Ten lists including favorite conservatives (he had some politicians and cabinet members as well as some actors he knows).
