Anyone remember these idiots who, after 1999, were proclaiming that one of the following-Governor Hodges, Barnes, Siegelman, and Musgrove-was certain to be sitting in the White House someday.

Well, it looks like Mark Warner is fast going down the same road to political oblivion. Although he can't be re-elected, his approval ratings are so low that Bush has nothing to fear from this quarter.

By January 2006, should all go well, we will control all Southern Governorships except Tennessee and perhaps Louisiana.

It was assumed that Mark Warner would challenge Se. George Allen in 2006. At the rate Warner's approval ratings are trending, George Allen will have an easy re-election.

Thank goodness the Commonwealth of Virginia has a "one term and out" for cases like this though have heard that they may try to change that.
