Despite all efforts and treatments to save both of them, on the morning of 28 April, amid unspeakable pain and after repeated exclamations of "Jesus, I love you. Jesus, I love you," the mother died.

Such a beautiful and true loving mother's heart.

Thank you for publicising the story of Blessed Gianna. I just learned I'm not pregnant (yet!), but as I grow older, into the more dangerous years of childbearing, I find Blessed Gianna to be a wonderful example and intercessor.
