Palestinian Terrorism As Usual On the Israeli-Egyptian border this morning, IDF troops blew up an Arab tunnel used to smuggle arms and drugs from Egypt into the PA-controlled Gaza Strip. The tunnel, discovered last night, is one of dozens built for this purpose over the past two years. Israeli Army officials acknowledge that its tight controls on land and sea entrances to Gaza have encouraged the Arabs to develop high-level engineering skills in building better tunnels for arms-smuggling, and that the tunnels often reach 15 or 20 meters deep.
The Hizbullah terrorist organization fired several shells at Israeli aircraft on the eastern sector of the Israeli-Lebanese border today. No one was hurt.
In Dehaishe, outside Bethlehem, Arabs threw several explosives at IDF vehicles. No one was hurt, some damage was caused, and IDF soldiers returned fire Security forces arrested another seven terrorist suspects last night in various Yesha areas The IDF anti-terror action in Hevron continues, involving house-to-house searches, arrests, and the closing of PA offices The army razed 22 illegally-built Arab structures around Hevron today. The buildings were located near Hilltop 26, just northeast of Hevron and Kiryat Arba, and in the area of the Kvasim Junction, south of Hevron. Four Israelis were murdered in two attacks in these areas over the past two weeks.
The IDF tightened the encirclement around PA-controlled cities in northern Shomron, and the curfew around Shechem continues. Intelligence warnings of possible terrorist attacks abound.
The Shomron Region Police Department has uncovered a network that issued forged work passes and entry permits to Arabs of the PA-controlled areas. Several members of the ring have been arrested. Police are checking whether the cell also helped terrorists enter the pre-1967 Israeli side of the Green Line.
