thanks again for the ping....I am wondering if the bloodhounds hit on his truck or hers and how about the warehouse ? With ole SP on the road all the time, you would think he would look forward to Xmas with the wife (quality time). I would think they do something together if he wanted to get out of the house (besides fishing in the rain). At this point, even if they found the body they would still have to prove he did it so that would include the weapon and forensic proof. If the lab results come back which show Laci's blood in his truck, that might be enough to bring him in. He's already making excuses for blood in the truck. What did he cut himself opening a can of spam while driving ? What kind of farm work does he do ? probably a little irrigation on the ole nose. I have never seen a more arrogant "suspect", it will be very interesting to see where this all leads. If he was sincerely looking for her or her abductors, he would be camped out at the police station. They are the only ones who can help him solve this mystery...or they are the ones who will end his charade and nail his @ss, now what are his intentions demonstrated by his behavior ?
Did LE find the people responsible for the robbery in the neighborhood Christmad Eve day? It seems possible Laci observed something going on and was taken away by these people. I read somewhere the police said there's no connection. Anyone know?
Of course we don't know exactly what evidence the Police have recovered, but my guess is that the District Attorney doesn't believe it sufficient to pursue a murder charge.
As stated by others, if they have confirmed evidence of brain matter or internal organs it would strengthen their case that she was murdered, but it doesn't necessarily point the finger of blame at Scott. Oh he did it ok, but the defense team would merely acknowledge that something horrific may have happened, but for all anyone knows it was perpetrated by unknown criminals who entered the home.
Blood in the house? Well, she lived there! She may have cut herself! Blood in the truck? She may have cut herself in the truck, or he did, or they both did! I mean you see where this type of evidence leads from a defense standpoint. If you thought they explained away blood evidence in the OJ trial, you haven't seen anything yet!
And unless they have confirmed blood or tissue DNA samples from her doctor to run the blood against, the best they can do is to type her parents and siblings and project a probability that the blood was hers. It would be a good probability, but look what Scheck did to the prosecution in the OJ mess.
I believe they are in a wait and see attitude until something breaks on the body. If it doesn't, I'm not sure we'll ever see him brought to justice.
