Your post reminded me of the story of a man who was fishing with his son and his friend and their boat capsized. The man was only able to save one of the boys from drowning and he chose to save his son's friend because he knew that his son was saved and his friend was not, so he sacrificed his own son that other boy would have another chance to know Christ.
