Looking at the weather NEXRAD image over Texas, there is a band along the eastern side of TX. Do you think this could be airborne debris?

Yes that is what it is. Local stations are showing the weather radar ; debris fields of floating material in a large swatch south east of DFW south of Tyler and Henderson, between Athens and Rusk.

That is the airborne debris field. All the local stations picking it up on their weather radar.
