My cat seems more interested in standing up to remove my blasphemous eyes when I do that.
Honestly, I'm not of teh mind to try and find out what it's like to try to forcibly remove 24 pounds of cat from my skull.....
Someone told me that cats take being stared at as a threat. Since it's an innately hostile action in nature and implies intent to fight.
Cats are strange critters indeed.

And if you are ever about to be jumped by a big cat, as hard as it would be, close your eyes. (Same goes for a hostile dog -- don't look him in the eye.)
