The goal at that time was to breed "true blue" and lilac only in five generations. My old Blue queen was 100 percent BP until you got back to the fourth generation, where there was ONE chocolate and ONE lilac. (I just went digging in my old files and found out that she had Blue-Iris back of her as well in the sixth generation - I had forgotten but that's probably why I bought her. She was my first cat after we got married and that bloodline was a strong recommendation. She was a bit undersized with a bad nose break, but she was one of those cats that throws kittens superior to herself.) My Lilac girl was about 3/4 Lilac once you got back 5 generations (it was a little harder to stick to that hard and fast rule with Lilacs as rare as they were then.)
I'm very interested in the theory about the difference in body markings between the various underlying tabby patterns. I did always check for "ghost" markings on my kittens before they shed their kitten coat, but again the "received wisdom" was that the cats with the dirty-looking kitten coats had the clearest coats as adults. So I don't know.
people would worship cats in Egypt. They thought that if you died then a women would come back as cat women! People in Egypt think that because they have cats there that stay alive for so long and worship cats.
Yes, I agree!
Its still me. I was wrong some people in egypt dont beleive! Reaallly soorry!
If you find out anything a bout cats tell me!
I wonder ... how did you find this thread? There have been no posts to it in 2 years, then you sign up today to post to it. I see that occur occasionally, where a long dead thread is suddenly alive again at the hands of a new member, and always wonder how it happens. Please tell me.
Here is a picture of my 'divine creatures':
Egypt...
how cute are your littles creatures!!!!!!
Thank you, chelsearieh4 ... they are the best kitties in the world.
Are you going to tell me how you found this 2 year old thread? I am curious as to how that happens ...
spodefly, I'm obviously not the OP, but I've done it once or twice myself. Both times it was because I did a search to avoid posting a dupe, found a related thread and posted to it without realizing that it was fossilized. I've always assumed that most of these get bumped up the same way.
They joined and then made their first post to this thread, and it was the first post to the thread in 2 years. I have seen that happen before a time or two and wondered about it. I can see joining and jumping on one of the existing threads obviously, but it seemed like they joined just for this thread.
Just one of those curiosity sort of things us cat people are known for.

Pretty good article...
Mmmmmmmuuuuummm - stir fried with snow peas and bamboo shoots.
I am highly offended with the aspect of non understanding of Sekhmet. Sehkemt is one of the Origional 8 who made Atlantis. Those 8 moved out wards and settled in the 4 corners of earth. Sehkmet and her Husband Made Egypt...Sehkemt isn’t a Cat Goddess nor a Rival...She is the Mother of All Egypt...I am very very highly Offended on all lack of understanding of the True Ancient Egyptians...Cat’s are the Gaurdians of the Underworld. Do more research before posting your assumptions of something that you do not understand in the near future.
