Fischer never was sane. Sanity is not required for brilliance.

If played today, Kasparov would win. If Kasparov was active in Fischer's heydey - Fischer, no contest. Has to do with the advancement in "chess knowledge" over the past quarter century. Don't get me wrong, Kasparov is one of the four best players in history.
