I'm sorry I just don't think this will be on the air very long...

Another typical example of liberal nepotism. Dino Stamatopoulos and George Stephanopoulos are obviously related.

I bet a dime that this show never asks the question "What Muslim has stood up for Islam as a peaceful religion, and for the U.S. as his adopted country, and actually turned in a radical Muslim involved in a plot to kill Americans?" Any takers?

Not necessarily a bad idea, though I figure the Hollywoodheads would screw it up...
I still wish they'd do a show based on that story that came out after the victory in Afghanistan--the one about the last two Jews in Kabul, who can't stand each other. I think it was in the NY Times I saw it.
Anyway, there's a sitcom for you...! They'd have the wacky Muslim lady, newly released from having to wear a burka, who's always flirting with the Jewish guys and trying to stop them killing each other. And of course, there's a doofy Southern Baptist missionary who's trying to save all their souls--He'd be the Sgt. Schultz character, I think. And don't start with the complaints about Christian-bashing; I'm a Baptist myself. I just think it'd be funny.
I imagine some wonderful klezmer theme music, with the laughing clarinets and the whole bit...and a quartet singing the theme song. Something like, "Their feuding and their fussing; it drives the neighbors nuts; they're the last two Jews in Kabul, and they haaate eeeeach ooooother's guuuuuuuts!"

One of my favorite shows has always been Sanford and Son. Recently, I have started watching the show again on TVland, and I was utterly surprised, almost shocked, by how flagrantly un-politically correct it is.
On one episode, for example, Fred says about Rollo: "Someone get this n*gger out of my house!" He also refers to Mexicans as "wetbacks" (and accuses Rollo of smuggling them into the country). He has poked fun at whites, asians, hispanics (Mexicans and Puerto-Ricans), mixed-marriages, and gays. He also dislikes politicans. On several occasions, he also has stated that he takes pride in the fact that he has never been on welfare...

I think that is kind of tacky, especially right now. Is Riener producing? That would be his style.

No... But you are right about Reiner...

All in the Family would never be made today... and niether would Sanford and Son. Enjoy them on TVland. You never know when they might pull them because they aren't pc.

All in the Family and Sanford and Son are available on DVD. Got to get my copy before the Dems outlaw them.

While watching the Super Bowl on Sunday, there was a spot for a new sitcom based on the awful 70s show "Three's Company." They were just joking, weren't they?

That was a segment for another show " 8 simple rules for dating my Daughter" which stars John Ritter who was also in "Three's Company". NBC however is shooting a behind the scenes movie version of "Three's Company" from the point of view of one of the actresses... Scary
