Now I know it's the wrong thing to do.
How much has Bono contributed out of his own pocket?

WGAS what Bono thinks? Not me...just another emission of pseudo-intellectual celebrity cranial flatus...
To: MrB
Bono is another typical LiboCrite! He's a regular"Johnny One-Note"on the AIDS thing!!
To: MrB
If Bono(er) likes it thats reason enough for me to know that it's the wrong thing to do--my biggest disappointment in W so far.

The singer [Bono] says the US needs to spend...Quite frankly, Bono, you little Irish weasel (it's okay, I'm Irish), I don't care what you think America should spend. On anything, anywhere.

Bush's vision.
He has no shortage of the "vision thing". I think I know where this AIDS thing fits in. He may be trying to "win over" Africa from Islamic forces. Part of his terraforming plans for the globe.

You are exactly right Paradox, but don't expect many to see that. He's fighting terror on all fronts.

You're reading way to much into it...

Bono can KRAM IT!
To: nowings
You're reading way to much into it... Maybe, but I'll bet thats part of it. You could see it in his face, during his first SOTU address. His very soul is into this.
If he/the USA can pull it all off, he will go down as one of the great presidents in history, and I am not trying to overstate things. I am NOT a big BUSH fan, he is not conservative enough for me (way too much spending, pie in the sky/feel good stuff), but he has impressed me in many ways, even when I dont agree with him.

You can't "win over" muslims--you must "convert" them..

My feelings about W are the same as yours--I think he really does know the "right thing" all the time but sometimes politics lead him sometimes instead of his gut.

But if you can keep any further "conversions" to Islam, you won't have as many to eliminate when the time comes, the locals could take care of that.
