Ben Bernanke at the Federal Reserve assures us that there is this thing called the printing press and that it can be used to print dollars at essentially no cost. So in effect, we do have that kind of money, or will, after it is printed.

Yes we can do that, but then dollar will then lose value against other currencies.

I'm not suggesting we do it. I'm a gold and silver coin man myself. I'm just pointing out that is what is being done. So no need to worry that the dollars Bush will use for this purpose will come out of your pocket. Just that over time, prices will rise to reflect the depreciation by inflation of your currency. Not just against other currencies. It will lose value period.
