I think Durandal, JP.233 have seen their day and are being replaced by ‘smart bombs’ and stand-off weapons. Doesn’t make sense anymore to fly hundreds of miles, fly down the centreline of a runway and drop bombs, too risky for the pilots and machines.

The JDAM can be used to lauch a similar attack. It would be used to guide a canister with specialised bomblets.
Teh Tomahawk-D can also do this.

Still, the video of a Tornado using the JP.233 on an airfield, played on teh History channel was sweet.
A mile-long strip was cratered and mined in one sweep.

The new Tornado GR-4 automatically caries the HARM or Martel ARM along with 2 sidwinders and the Jp.233.
