2) Respond to a good post.
Ditto.
3) Make FR your home page, so you get a hit when you open your web browser.
I did that a long time ago.
4) Send an FR discussions link to a friend who might be interested. Encourage them to sign up to FR.
I've done that many times, and also to some of my more conservative relatives!
I know for a fact that some of them lurk, but have no idea if they've registered yet.
