The problem with the "smoking gun defense" is the idiocy of those who use the phrase. To have a "smoking gun" is to have a gun that has already fired a bullet. France, Germany, Russia, China and the Democrats want a "smoking gun." I've got news for you: If the nuclear, biological, or chemical weapons in Iraq are the guns, a "smoking gun" is, well, I hate to even think of such a thing!

Saddam has the weapons, and it's our duty to fire first. He is already in material breach, and has been for the last 11 years. Our intelligence knows far more than we do, and that is why we must act, even on what we as the public know. We cannot allow any of our allies, or our cities, to reach 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit in less than a second -- we, the sane people of America, do not want a smoking gun.

We care not about politics as conservatives, but preserving humanity. It is not about the 2004 elections, but about the continuance of freedom. Shame on our communist-sympathisers who try to turn this into a political issue! It is a human issue, one that was fought during World War I and World War II and that we are facing again today.

The liberals moaned because we "couldn't see 9/11 coming," and yet we know, without a doubt, Saddam's intentions are:

1) The destruction of Israel
2) Expansionism
3) The destruction of America

Liberals moan with a smoking gun (9/11), or without a smoking gun. It's time for all Americans to stand up against the forces of liberalism and say "SHUT UP ALREADY!"

We face another Hitler, one who cannot be bargained with or reasoned with. He will not stop until his priorities are realized, and our way of life is weakened or ceased. We cannot make the mistake of waiting too long before his madness spreads. As the second verse of the Star-Spangled banner says,

O thus be it ever,
when free men shall stand
between their loved homes and the wars desolation.

Blest with vict'ry and peace,
may the heav'n-rescued land
praise the Pow'r that hath made and preserved us a nation.

Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just;
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust!"
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

What I'm surprised no one is talking about is Tierney's
accusation that the French inspectors cannot be trusted.
He told of a situation where he saw a French inspector
trying to whisper the location of an upcoming inspection
to Iraqis, and claimed to have stopped the French inspector
in that case. Nevertheless, he is convinced that if the
French were given a list of 'targets' of the UN inspectors,
that they would spill the beans immediately to Iraq.
He also told of an incident where a french Image analyst
was rifling thru a desk that had sensitive info that he
had not right to be looking thru.
Very interesting. The French of course are only interested
in Peace.

I thought Italy was onboard as well?
