I thought it might be too far fetched with all the stuff that has been said about Clinton, but I'm starting wonder about this too. I'm beginning to think that maybe the Germans were somehow involved in the WTC attack too. I think perhaps there has been spun a black and evil web of malice and deceit by our so-called friends. Why else all the secrecy by Bush? If they know something then why won't they just tell us? Why else are the democrats, the Germans so recalcitrant? They must be guilty of something really bad, much worse than selling materials to Saddam. They have survived that scandal before.
It goes back before that. Remember that Louis Freeh went to Europe, including Germany, to set up better anti-terrorist intelligence coordination between us and our allies. That was early in the Clintons' reign.
Remember louis, janet, and the billary were all convinced any terrorist threat came not from Islamofascists from the ME, but from white, angry males who were devoted to the Constitution and usually religious.
Remember that Andreas Strassmeir came from Germany, allegedly to spy on domestic US white supremecist groups. Ambrose Evans-Pritchard (London Telegraph) has indicated that Andi the German was an agent provocateur in the OKC sting-gone-bad bombing. This is backed up by Carol Howe's testimony as an informant (sorry, working from memory I'm not sure if she was BATF or FBI) that Andi was giving military training to the Nazis at Elohim City and that he lead a recon group to pick a federal building target to be bombed...
FR archives are jammed with information on all this with verifiable facts. What's more difficult to verify with certainty is the connections between all these dots.
IOW we can know that the FBI and a German intelligence man were monitoring a white supremecist group with ties to McVeigh. We also know from Jayna Davis that there were Iraqi nationals involved in the OKC bombing. It's probably pretty safe to say that the Clintons were aware of an FBI operation (one hopes it was intended as a sting) in OKC.
What we can't KNOW (at least not yet) is whether Clinton was merely an opportunist in the OKC bombing or something much worse. Was there a sting that went bad and Clinton saw a chance to revive his dying presidency by smothering evidence of Iraqi complicity and headlining the evil, right-wing, religious extremist, militia type, government-hating, angry white male as the enemy? He has ADMITTED that this turned his presidency around.
It's a huge leap for most people to even contemplate the possibility that he (or some of his "people") saw that same opportunity before the "sting" went down and DECIDED to make it go bad... This is certainly not proved, but I personally believe he and his "people" to be so diabolical that they are capable of this at least. Once you even begin to suspect that possibility, then you might be suspicious of later complicities, too.
And BTW Andi the German wasn't just any random intel guy. He's the son of Gunther Strassmeir who was at one time the #3 man in Helmut Kohl's government. Now for all I know he was as freaked out by what happened at OKC as we were. He can't exactly talk about it, can he? But whether as a dupe or a main character, he WAS involved. And through him, so was Germany.
