This war needs its own song. "Lets Dance" by David Bowie was a great war song, but its a little dated. "I'm Afraid Of Americans" also by Bowie might be a good candidate... don't know the song, but its a great title you have to admit... "Rock the Casbah" is way out of date, but also has the right spirit.

Anyone have any suggestions, preferably something from this century?

How about this!!

*

*

What you have tried to kill doesn’t live inside a wall.
Not in buildings or even a shopping mall.
You can’t destroy that which is deep inside of our hearts.
You have enraged us now we’ll tear you all apart.
Standing tall, Through it all, In this war.

America is the best place on this mans earth.
Where freedom lives we stand our ground against the very worst.
We have a lot to keep we are the holder of the torch.
Liberty is our cause we are not afraid to fight this war.
Standing tall, Through it all, In this war.

Do you want to know a little secret?
You will never beat us down with your anthrax tricks.
Were going to make you wish the twins were still standing.
You’re going to cursed that day you brought this to our neighborhood Standing tall,
Through it all, In this war.

We must take a stand against terrorism in our land Combat it with firmness and fight it to the very end.
It is a cowardly violation of our peace We will eradicate in and live in harmony.
Standing tall, Through it all, In this war.

Optional lyrics Here in America we stand by our brothers and fight!
Expecting mass disorder instead you will feel our might.
Now we’re focused and are coming after you We will bear any burden and pay any price.
Standing tall, Through it all, In this war.

D A We’re gonna track you down just like the dogs you are.
G A We don’t want to see your terrorism in our world any more!
D A What really makes you think you can get away with this?
G A We’re going to chew your bone just for breakfast.
C A C A C A Standing tall, Through it all, In this war.

My son (ClarinetKing on this forum) is a high school senior who loves doing these kinds of things. He requests a copy of the chords so he can put together a symphonic ensemble version of the song. You have mail.

This one from "Star Trek IV" might work:
"I HATE YOU"

Lyrics by Kirk R. Thatcher
Music by Mark Mangini

(to be sung Allegro con Temptible)

Just what is the future?
The things we've done and said.
Let's just push the button.
We'd be better off dead!

And I hate you!
and I berate you !
and I can't wait to get to you...

The sins of all the fathers,
being dumped on us - the sons
The only choice we're given is:
How many megatons?

So I eschew you!
And I say "SCREW YOU"!
And I hope you're blue too!

We're all bloody worthless,
Just greedy human scum,
The numbers all add up
to a negative sum...

And I hate you!
And I hate you!
And I hate you...too!

(Repeat in angry scream 'til hoarse -- or blood sprays from throat. Whichever comes first...)
