This guy seems to desire to take the law into his own hands since the "law" is miserably failing (border patrol). Seems to me that he seeks to defend us all against foreign intruders. Many of those intruders bear harmful and illicit drugs. Meantime our borders remain unprotected. Chances are this guy will be killed fighting this war. My wager is that he will be killed by a federal officer unwittingly defending some drug dealer from South America.

Dream on of 'obfuscation'.
I'd say you're bordering on 'obsession'.

- And thanks again for making that evident.

If you wish to be stupid enough to go on the internet and publicly identify yourself as advocating violent felonies against the government, feel free do it on your own website, but not FreeRepublic. It violates common sense and at least two of Jim Robinson's posting rules. When that kind of crap is posted here, the poster's self-destructive and juvenile behavior (and that gives him the benefit of the doubt that he may not be an undercover BATF agent) it becomes a problem for every poster.

takenoprisoner says:   "This guy seems to desire to take the law into his own hands since the "law" is miserably failing (border patrol)."

If by "this guy" you mean Mr. Simcox, I agree that "the 'law' is miserably failing (border patrol)", but I disagree with your characterization of what he is doing as taking "the law into his own hands". As I've said to others on this thread, the private border patrols are not "vigilantes" nor a "mob", and the service they are performing in making lawful citizen's arrests of illegal aliens and/or reporting same to law enforcement, is in the highest traditions of patriotism and support for the Constitution and the rule of law. Perhaps you are addressing this to the wrong poster? In that case, sober up and get back to me.

Okay fine...then tell me what he is doing so that I and others may know just exactly what it is that he is doing.

There should be an abuse button for anti American sentiments. I see flagrant fouls here. Who guards these borders anyway?

Who guards them? Noone. Just like our actual borders...folks are asleep at the helm.

takenoprisoner asks:   "Perhaps you are addressing this to the wrong poster?"

Nope, no wrong address there. That was meant to be addressed to you, in response to your #300.

Oh good grief! You come on a thread about private border patrols, you don't familiarize yourself with what other have been posting and now you tell us you don't even know what the patrols are about?!?

I think the border patrol groups should stay on private land for the time being. They're raising enough of a ruckus and drawing attention to the issue just doing that.

Not being illegals, they should have known better than to trespass on "public" land.

The international border and the national park boundary are two different things.

Which part of illegal do you not understand?

Knowing the amount of harrassment from illegals and drug runners some hikers, campers, and picnickers have experienced in that park, is it policy now that you are no longer allowed to carry personal firearms with which to protect yourself?

By George, I believe you've got it!

Now that the idiots have been left speechless...a minor task...How bout someone here answer these simpleton questions for me. What are the Armed Forces? And what is the National Security Agency? What is the Pentagon?

Then what is "Homeland Security" if neither the Department of Defense nor the National Security Agency are competent to provide for our protection and defense?

Just another bureacracy? You got it. Yet another worthless bureaucracy that will fail to defend us. Since the DoD failed. And the NSA and CIA failed, why should we now rely on "homeland security?"

Obviously "homeland security" relies on honest folk with integrity like this guy who surrendered to a park ranger...since we don't kill our own. Which begs the question, why does the park ranger fear this guy?

Fear? He broke the law and was punished.
Which part of illegal is most confusing to you?

You come on a thread about private border patrols

Actually I am only curious about the public border patrols. You know, the one's we all pay for. Are they adequate? I believe we both know the answer. Should we then take this patrol into our own hands?

Likely getting paid to look the other way as the drug-terrorist-illegals-criminals come across.

I agree. Or fear of loss of pension if he/she doesn't.
