TOWN OF OWEGO -- Eight local anti-war protesters dressed as weapons inspectors tried to enter Lockheed Martin Systems Integration facility Sunday, but didn't get far past the entrance.
The group -- dressed in white hazardous materials uniforms with "citizens weapons inspector" printed in large black letters --were ticketed by Tioga County sheriff's deputies on trespassing charges. They are to appear in town court in mid-February.

About 10 Southern Tier residents organized the protest. Co-organizer Grace Ritter of Ithaca said the protest was necessary. Ithaca is the City of Evil.
Ritter said she has friends protesting the weapons inspections in Iraq.
Great.
So it's not enough that these so called "Peace activists" are against war.
NOW THEY ARE AGAINST THE WEAPONS INSPECTIONS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO FORESTALL WAR!!!!!
This proves one thing and one thing alone: the activists are not pro-peace. They are ANTI-AMERICA.

So, let me get this straight - they are against weapons inspections in Iraq, but FOR weapons inspections HERE...
Man, I need to avoid Liberal Logic before my morning coffee...

They protested to call attention to the plant, which manufactures parts for helicopters, jet fighters and other combat aircraft. They also make automated package processing and sorting equipment for the Post Office there. Dangerous stuff, that...
Used to drive past that place every day, twice a day, when I was living down there. Rather unassuming looking place, but it's good to see that security is up to snuff.

After working in Ithaca for a few months, I quickly learned that it is extremely liberal. The Green Party is probably the dominant party there. A lot of upstate New York is generally conservative, but not Ithaca. You have Cornell and Ithaca College there and we all know how socialist universities are...

Americans should gather donations for 1-way tickets to Baghdad for these tyrant-enablers.

Heda Libby of Vestal was the first protester ticketed. She is a member of the Catholic Worker -- an international organization of people who work for social justice.Catholic worker
I'll guess that they're Commie/Kumbuyah types.

...Liberal Logic...The quintessential definition of the oxymoron.

Hmmm. May I suggest they enter this Lockheed "facility" next? Headfirst.

After working in Ithaca for a few months, I quickly learned that it is extremely liberal. Sorry you had to actually work there to find out.
Fortunately, the other FREEPERs have the "city of evil" posts to warn them off. ;-)

Ritter said she has friends protesting the weapons inspections in Iraq. I don't think the liberals have any idea what they're being told to protest anymore. They should use Sprint.
They must be the only kooks in the world protesting the inspections. Leave it to Ithica.
And their parents are paying for their...uh...."education?"

Grace Ritter? Wonder if she's any relation of Scottie's?

A lot of upstate New York is generally conservative, but not Ithaca. It's like a small vortex that spins the wrong way.

Ritter said she has friends protesting the weapons inspections in Iraq. Weren't some her "comrades" seen on C-SPAN a few months back during a press conference with Rumsfeld yelling "Inspections, not war"?

Grace Ritter? Wonder if she's any relation of Scottie's? Probably not, but maybe that's what got her started. Maybe she's pretending - like they do on Seseme Street.

Weren't some her "comrades" seen on C-SPAN a few months back during a press conference with Rumsfeld yelling "Inspections, not war"? Well, all that thinking stuff confuses them.

Co-organizer Grace Ritter of Ithaca said the protest was necessary. "I need to be out there in the streets protesting because I know there are people in Iraq who are depending on me to stand up for them," she said.Yeah, those "people in Iraq" would be Saddam, Uday, Qusay and others who daily wipe their blood-spattered jack-boots at the doormats of their golden palaces. Saddam has already publicly thanked the likes of you, Grace, for your assistance in protecting his fascistic regime, but maybe a special gift is in order for your extra efforts. Would you prefer a rolex, or some other luxury item Uday smuggled into Iraq (in lieu of medicine) or something more personal, such as a compilation of Saddam's favorite torture videos?
