Anyone else feeling a little, ummm apprehensive that Germany is once again the major power in Europe? I laughed when I read that. By what measure? It's economy is in shambles. It can't even comply with EU requirements for fiscal responsibility.
Unemployment is skyrocketing.
If Germany is a major power, I wonder what a minor power looks like. Bosnia, I guess.

If you scratch the surface a bit in Iraq, you'll find a "Siemens" sticker.

Yes,I agree! We must ALWAYS keep our eyes on "Deutschland,Deutschland" lest they want to try and pull that"UBER ALLES" thing again!!!

Yes! It was a big mistake ever to allow them to reunify. They'll be BIG problem for the world again someday, and it may already be starting.
(However, I do hope after 100 years of treachery we are DEAD SET against saving France's bacon again. Not one drop of brave American blood to rescue those weasels! Let the stinking Krauts have them, then nuke them both.)

They are becoming the major power by default. While they are lowering their
military strength they are not lowering it as fast as out other "allies".
