Thanks for posting the report Angelwood. Now, you need to get some rest and some chicken soup... to fight off that cold!

I took a ton of photos which I will link to this thread over the weekend. (I also have a like amount of photos from the March for Life on Wednesday that I need to link to that thread)

For those of you who just can't wait, you can find the Rally III photos at our Webshots site The last 3 (or 4?) albums listed are of the Rally, the anti-war march, and the Human Shields event the next day.

Be forewarned - many of the "anti-war" signs are laced with profanities, plenty of terrorist countries flags, anarchist flags, not too many one-fingered salutes though. I wasn't quick enough with my camera to catch all of them, as I was switching from taking photos to bullhorn speechifying. Funny how the flip-offs came as I was telling the folks who they were marching with and for.

I suspect that after you look at the signs, you will have an even greater respect for the veterans who stood by our side on Saturday. My feelings for the marchers went from mild disgust to total disgust to downright anger that the majority of the marchers didn't seem to care who paid for their little hate-America party.

I have all the respect in the world for the vets who could stand so firmly, greatly outnumbered, and for the most part, silently witness the disrespect and hatred of the things they fought so bravely to defend, when they wore their country's uniforms in past wars. I think that is why I was so upset; that these good men were again subjected to such disrespect as hasn't been so evident since Vietnam days, and again (compared to the numbers on the other side) they stood virtually alone.

For them, I wish that there had been thousands of us to stand alongside them and say to the communist leaders and their sheep marching past the Marine Barracks, "Never again will we, the American people let you and your communist handlers tear at the fabric of our wonderful and free land! And never again will we, the American people, abandon the men and women who are fighting for our country, our freedom, and our safety. And never again will we, the American people forget the sacrifices of over two hundred years of brave men and women, and their families, who ensured that we have the right to stand on the streets and speak freely."

But, you know what? From what I saw on Saturday, I think we have again forgotten. It's going to get a lot worse than what I saw on Saturday, if more of us don't start standing up and saying something. But that's just my opinion. I hope I'm wrong, but I fear that I am not.

You are exactly right! That is my fear also. These people are dangerous.

I also got really angry at vets marching in the parade. I don't know how they could do that. 'Pod

Great pictures. They came out really well. I guess you had a really good vantage point from the steps so your pics didn't get washed out by the sun as many of mine did. I went through them a couple of times and probably will a couple more. There were a lot of flags and signs that I didn't remember (I was probably too busy trying to engage the commies). One that struck me was the gimmee, gimmee, gimmee (you know, money for welfare, not for war) with the logo for the Socialist Workers Party taking up about a quarter of it. I guess the Dumbo party is socialist afterall. You did a good job of capturing a lot of the black flags and anti-Israel, Pro Palestinian signs as well. Good Job!!

Regarding your comments on being outnumbered, it was very disconcerting but I still think we had an impact. Maybe not with the protesters (most are hopeless) but with all of the media coverage. There is now discussion about who really is behind these protests. Of course, most conservatives have jobs and a life. To the majority of these protesters this is their job and life. Their only other commitment is probably to get to a mailbox to get their check from Daddy Warbucks or Uncle Sam.

Judging by the expressions on the faces of those vets that did show up I could see the hurt in their hearts seeing the continued onslaught of these traitors and noting that the vets did not get the turnout they had hoped for. Seeing that just strengthens my resolve even more to do what I can to expose them for what they are and heckle them at every opportunity.

how many of those "wonderful yellow diamond-shaped signs" did you SEE?

you know the ones with the LARGE black swastikas that frequently say: KILL THE JEWS!

scratch a so-called peace/piece marcher and look for the ANTI-semite & NEO-NAZI underneath!
