SACRAMENTO(AP) - An appeals court refused Thursday to reconsider a ruling that could undercut the Coastal Commission, and state officials said they would appeal to the Supreme Court.
"We think the Court of Appeal got it wrong, and we're going to make that case strongly to the Supreme Court," said Tom Dresslar, a spokesman for Attorney General Bill Lockyer.

The California Coastal Commission has really been about preserving the coast not for the public weal, but as the private playground of the latte liberals. That's why they want to keep it around. The public access argument is simply a smokescreen for the Left's attempt to keep the coastline in the hands of the privileged few with the ability to grease the government fist that in return makes sure the riffraff know their place.
