So what do you do to get the hook out? I don't mean just cutting the wire. What do you do to get it out of the shark's mouth without getting bit?

I had made a device with a handle and a stainless steel clip welded on the end. I put the clip onto the wire and with the handle push it down onto the hook and then shove it down quickly and the hook usually comes out.

Normally we just cut the wire close to the hook. - Tom
