Inspired by US move in Afghanistan, rightist party hands out fliers to Palestinians

Soldiers at the Erez Checkpoint blocked National Union Party activists today from entering the Gaza Strip to distribute Arabic-language leaflets outlining their right-wing views.

However, party lawmakers did succeed in handing out copies of the eight page brochure at the IDF checkpoint in Bethlehem, and in the Israeli-Arab town of Umm el-Fahm in Galilee.

The booklet contains statistics and articles about the "corrupt" Palestinian Authority.

Party leader Avigdor Lieberman initiated the idea, saying he was inspired by the US army's airdrop of leaflets in Afghanistan prior to their incursion into that country.
