I've never understood that logic, if someone can't pay off one set of cards and bills, why are they likely to do a whole new set? Yes, I've heard of this happening, and just like sending all those applications/cards to college freshmen: giving candy to a baby, who will be up all night, sicker than a dog paying the price.

Yes, used to be they waited till you were on the graduation list b/f flooding you with credit card offers. I shudder to think what my children will get when they are at college and have their own mailboxes.

But nowadays everyone seems to get these constant credit offers. I liked the idea of that no-debt guy who used to be on the radio--tear up all the stuff, stuff it into their self-addressed postage-paid envelope, and mail it back to them!
