Suspect ID'd in Peterson burglary

BEE STAFF REPORTS

Modesto police reported Wednesday that a suspect has been identified in a Saturday burglary at Scott and Laci Peterson's house.

The burglary was not related to Laci Peterson's disappearance, police said.

Police did not identify the suspect and did not report an arrest. The suspect is someone known by the Petersons and one of many people with access to their home, police said.

The suspect cooperated in police interviews. The stolen property has been returned, police said.

What I'm about to type is COMPLETELY unsubstantiated, but someone I work with said that a friend of hers who was a neighbor of the Petersons in Tracy, California (did they every live in Tracy?), said that Laci Peterson also had an affair and that she was pregnant with someone elses child, not Scott Peterson's. Has anyone else ever heard this?
