The largest most recent study ever done, the "Denmark Study" found no link. Almost all of the earlier studies suffered from "recall bias."

Women who have no illness tend not to report having had abortions. Women who have breast cancer tend to report everything they can think of that occurred in their past.

The Denmark Study got around the issue by looking at the records of treatment of a million women in Denmark over the course of about 30 years. The women themselves therefore could not "forget" to mention whether they had had abortions or not.

The American Cancer Society says there is no known link between breast cancer and abortion.
