Online FReeper Pool: Al Sharpton's Running Mate (Place your bets...)
1/22/03
Posted on 01/22/2003 3:38:29 PM PST by Libloather
Early into Aldork2000's presidential campaign, it was announced that the DNC was going to "take God back." What better way than to nominate a real Reverend as the Libdem/Chicom Party leader! Out with the old Reverend Al and in with the NEW Reverend Al!
If the new Reverend Al makes it through all of the hoops and attempted Arkancides, defeats all of the other Rats during the debates, and gets the most votes of any Rat running in the primaries - he's going to need a running mate!
Begin predictions - NOW!

It'll be someone no one's ever heard of.
If I had to guess.. I'd say someone blue collar and white (european or hispanic descent). Union background, maybe? Definitely no more than a high-school education. Definitely someone who grew up poor.

Don King ROFL! I was gonna wager on Je$$e Jacka$$, but of the two, your suggestion is much more "vice presidentially."

Oh, most definitely a woman!!!
Maybe Maxine, Sheila Lee, or maybe a Spanish-American? Sanchez?
For diversity?

Cynthia McKinney.. hehehe a Sharpton/McKinney ticket reminds me of a quote about Billay Martin and George Steinbrenner: "They're both liars, one's convicted"

HONK if you support the Sharpton/Spike Lee "Let's Do It To Honky" ticket.

Slightly off topic but Dick Morris on Hannity's radio program said he had advised Sharpton to run as an Independent (since someone else will get the Dem nomination). Morris told him he wouldn't get elected but a Presidential run as an Independent would establish him as the leader of "the community".
According to Morris, Al seemed to like the idea.
I like it too.
