The Democrats will buy him off, like they always did Jesse. It's how Jesse made his fortune. He pretended he was gonna run, right up till the last second...and the Democrats would buy him off or (according to the Whitewater hearings) funnel contributions to Rainbow/Push.

But my theory is, the Dems may have told Al to get stuffed, which is why his office mysteriously caught on fire. It gives him an excuse to back out of the race and play the victim.
