The Book of Romans says we are to obey our Government authority--but it says first we are to obey God Himself.
Well, obviously, if the government is lying or not supporting the discovery of truth, then it is not a governing body... that said, we should not indeed fight for power within power struggles, but defend the truth. Fighting government as a power is illicit, defending the truth is not.
