If I read the AG opinion correctly a citizen of Arkansas can ban police officers from carrying guns into his home.

It said off-duty police officers, not officers on-duty.

It also referenced the opinion that carrying a concealed handgun "may be disallowed...". This part doesn't mention off duty officers although they are the subject of the article. Neither does it say that the off duty officer can go in if they have their weapons in view rather than concealed. Altogether the article is not clear on the fine points. It does present some interesting issues.
