anyone who's done so much to expose scum-sucking charlatans like faith healers, psychic surgeons and John Edward is doing the Lord's work, whether he likes to think so or not.

I prefer James Randi's style in doing this. Penn and Teller, who can be sporadically amusing, muddle their message by getting people to focus on their shocking behavior. It's the same problem I have with the TV show 'South Park'. It's not worth watching when I have to keep concentrating on ignoring (or trying to justify) the potty humor. 'The Simpsons' makes a lot of the same points, but are eminently more watchable. In my opinion, anyway.

Looks like "debunking" is all part of PAT's new program:

Penn & Teller shine light on conniving opportunists

Penn & Teller are huge acolytes of James Randi, who is himself an atheist. I'm not an atheist, but I am a longtime member of a local skeptics' group and have met them all. I am the proud owner of an autographed copy of Randi's "Flim-Flam."

"South Park" does go overboard with the potty humor at times, but the recent episode where they gutted John Edward, showed exactly how he does his stupid act, then had space aliens arrive to give him the award for "Biggest Douche In The Universe" was, IMHO, one of the greatest things ever shown on TV.
