Yes he did and yes he is (a great talent).
I first heard it back in the late 60's done by the Paul Butterfield Blues Band ( I think). The Grateful Dead later did it also. My old high school band used to play it.....great song.
You sure got that right! I first saw him featured in a performance on, I think it was the Disney channel, several years ago. I do not impress easily and that kid had me spellbound! Fantastic talent, AND very original, which is something extremely rare any more.
