Sara Townsley is a graduate student in the Field of Biochemistry, Cell, and Molecular Biology at Cornell University. She resisted the prevailing left-wing orthodoxy while earning a B.A. in sociology at the University of Illinois, and joyfully discovered strict constructionism while earning a J.D. at Tulane University. A member of the California State Bar, she attained the rank of captain during her three and a half years of service in the U.S. Army JAG Corps. Stationed in Europe, she also taught business law at the University of Maryland overseas, and completed a second bachelor's degree in chemistry and biology. Ms. Townsley is currently indulging her life-long love of science, and enjoys being a news junkie and spouting off about politics. She is a conservative libertarian (with a little "l") but votes Republican in close races.
