Wow. This is a nice piece of research, and very informative.
I wish the author would have been able to explore the Internet presence of these groups, more.
It certainly shows why we can't let the anti-war types go unchallenged, especially when it comes to finances.

Here's a little more info on the "board of directors" (according to IRS Form 990, filed Jan. 15, 2002):
Kathleen Durkin, President
220 West 21st Street
New York, NY 10011
Sharyn Finkelman, Vice-President
40 Waterside Plaza
New York, NY 10010
Susan Davis, Secretary-Treasurer
258 West 22nd Street
New York, NY 10011
The books are kept by:
William Sacks, Esq.
7 Penn Plaza, Suite 830
New York, NY 10001
According to the IRS document, excess contributor info is not open to public inspection. However, I think this is probably the most important info, and I have several sources to check at this point.

Well, it's not quite murky, but I think FreeRepublic.com is a hell of a start.

This is just off the top of my head, but ...
I wonder if these have a direct link to Physicians and Nurses for Social Responsibility and another group, Voices in the Wilderness. The former is one of the group which vilated restrictions in the 90s and traveled to Iraq with "medications and toys" - and it is the group that is linked via a friend to Fed of American Scientists member Rosenberg , who for a while there was active in trying to cast suspicion on Dr. Steven Hatfill. This was done using a report written by Rosenberg's friend, a woman who belongs to Phys & Nurses for Soc Resp.

OUTSTANDING RESEARCH! One solitary soul with gritty determination does more first rate investigatory reporting than the entire corrupt (and lazy) multi-billion dollar lame-stream media. This is the Internet at its best, a la Drudge.

Interesting that the National Lawyer's Guild supports them - they received a grant of $200.00 from the People's Rights Fund, Inc. according to IRS documentation.

On Monday, I am going to contact the NY Attorney General's Office to find out which, if any, financial statements held by the State would contain donor info. Then, I am going to file a Freedom of Information Act request for those documents. If any of you in New York know of anyone that would be willing to view the documents in the office, that would save me on copying costs.
