[history]
Under intense pressure from the Bush administration and top lawmakers, the University of California rehired two investigators Friday who had been fired from Los Alamos National Laboratory after they uncovered alleged incidents of theft and fraud by employees at the university-run weapons lab.

This whole mess of UC being allowed to mismanage the Los Alamos operation smelled from the start. I don't know who sponsors UC but the contract with UC should terminated and the managment should be investigated for criminal activities. There have been too many questionable activities to believe that they are just oversights. The UC reaction has always been cover up and stall.

I have been writing about this for a while. see my articles at www.aim.org. This is good news. Unprecedented I think. Maybe somebody is finally going to clean that swamp up. This is a start at least.
