Okay, my mother asked me to post this, so be gentle...
Finite Math Challenge for $10 donation.
You are in a dice game with one opponet, place your bet and winner take all. The object of the game is to roll a number higher than your opponent. You must pick from four dice, and you can either go first or second. However, the dice are not standard. Here are the dice:
One die has 3's on all six sides.
Another has 4's on four sides and 0's on the other two.
Another has 5's on three sides and 1's on the other three.
The last die has 6's on two sides and 2's on the other four sides.
The question is, do you pick first or second, and which die do you choose? (Explain your answer)

I'll give your puzzle a try...
I would choose to go second; then I would choose different dice depending upon what number he shot.
If he had 6 or less: I'd throw the 3 and the 4 dice
If he had 7: I'd throw the 3 and the 5 dice
If he had 8: I'd throw the 4 and the 5 dice
If he had 9: I'd throw the 4 and the 6 dice
If he had 10 or 11: I'd throw the 5 and the 6 dice
Sounds complicated and I'm not a gambler. If I had to go first, I wouldn't know what to do. LOL!
