Despite the widespread power outages during November's and December's storms, the lights stayed on at Peter Cartwright's Saratoga home. Other than that, though, last year was not one of his brightest. Cartwright, the CEO of San Jose energy company Calpine, saw his company's stock fall more than 80 percent. Energy crisis fallout and corporate scandals buffeted his industry. The low point came when the New York Times business section pictured Cartwright and Gov. Gray Davis with a story predicting that Calpine would be the next Enron.

This paragraph needs to be repeated and repeated with the spotlight on the Rats like Davis and Burton and of course their Watermelon Green Jihadists. All of them work 24/7 to make California a hostile place for businesses.
