This is new N.S., I actually agree with you for a change. The Confederate flag brings out the best and the worst in people on both sides, I for one have never ever tried to hurt anyones feelings using as a racist symbol. To me it's alway's just been a proud Southern symbol, not anti black or anti Yankee just something to celebrate our heritage. I really hate the fact that some groups have abused the flag & the people that they discriminated against. I guess the only fair way is to vote on it and just like you said they'll probably weasel out even on that. But one thing about it, if we did get to vote on it, it would end a lot of the fussing on both sides.

You should know by now that it's always a hate symbol, because neocons hate the battleflag and most things southern. As penance for your error, you must make a pilgrimage to the Temple of Abraham the Savior in Washington DC, and give thanks to the marble idol for cleansing America of sin by slaughtering all the secessionists he could.
