Most liberal Jews are what is called in Hebrew "Tikkun Olam" which actually means they are more appropriately labeled Liberal-secular Pagans (i.e. Barbara Streisand). Christians have their own "Tikkun Olam"--They are called the National (and World) Council of Churches. Their objectives are exactly the same. Ha Shem has had to deal with both throughout the ages - like the Agnostic left leaders in Israel.

Of course I agree with you. I was only thinking about the shibboleths of political correctness, which would be down on a conservative like a ton of bricks if he spoke in this way but pronounces its blessing on anyone with a Jewish name who talks proper left-wing duckspeak.

I agree--there is a hellacious sorting (judging) going on today for both the Jews and Christians. It's interesting that Christians who believe (and support) Israel are getting more and more polarized from main stream Christianity--Jews and Christians are being sent into battle as we speak.

Tikkun Olam literally means "repair the world." Liberal Jews claim that Judaism requires Jews to engage in acts to repair the world, which, according to them, means to engage in leftist social activism.

The problem is that there is no such doctrine in Jewish scripture, at least not in the form they claim. Tikkun Olam, as defined by liberal Jews, is strictly a late 20th Century invention.
