"Donna Brazile does, she is running this whole racist show to keep The Reverend Al Sharpton down!" You know, that's probably what her run is all about... I'm going to get called wacky, heh,heh...but there is something likeable about Sharpton.
Not the race pandering stuff, of course, but I've seen him on Hannity & Colmes. Al was quite charismatic, and friendly with Sean Hannity. At least he didn't come off like most smarmy Democrats do. I think he might make the DemocRats primary interesting, and amusing to watch! He is definitely more interesting than the rest of the pack...

Feh. She's not running for the Senate. That is indeed too bad. Sounds like she had a real good shot of winning the primary, thereby probably assuring Fitz of re-election.

Fitzgerald is going to be fine next year. He'll be re-elected.

The Republicans should give Fitzgerald some popular bills he could co-sponser like the Patient's Bill of Rights or Bush's tax cuts. Once they pass, he can take credit form them and boost his chances of winning.

He just got a bill signed into law, if I remember correctly. But that's the problem. Fitz isn't well liked by the GOP or Dems.
Rep. Lahood: Fitzgerald Can Take a Hike
LaHood said he told a recent meeting of Illinois Republican members of Congress that he planned to look for somebody to run against Fitzgerald in 2004. LaHood said he asked if any of them would speak up in support of Fitzgerald or provide an example of how the senator had helped them. "There was a big silence in the room. No one said anything," LaHood said.
