The Democratic Presidential field may grow by one today.

According to a senior aide to former one term United States Senator and Former Ambassador Carol Moseley Braun will reveal around 1:00 PM ET, VIA written statement the 'course of her exploration' of her future.

She will spend the rest of the day giving interviews, explaining why she is either running for Senate or thinking about running for President

Sounds like she's forming a Presidential shakedown committee!

This is going to be played for the gender/race angle by the media, but I have to say, there is a reason she lost her Senate seat and it had nothing to do with gender or race. In fact, her only talent seemed to be her gender and race which made her a media and liberal darling. Not only were there clouds of petty scandal, which we were supposed to forgive and forget, but more importantly, she was, to put it bluntly, a dunce. In her debate with Peter Fitzgerald, of which most voters likely heard only a soundbite or two, Peter responded to each question with thoughful, informed opinions and positions. Carol stammered and tried to remember which vague platitudes best fit the topic. It was painful to listen to.

I think it is great that she is running. The Dems are really assembling a top-notch array of candidates. Can't wait to see a Moseley-Braun in a presidential debate. What a riot.

This makes 7, not including possibly retiring Senator Bob Graham from Florida who may announce Monday.

Imagine a Janet Reno- Katherine Harris matchup for that Florida Senate Seat in '04!
