The obvious question to ask is why this should be overlooked now just because Daschle is comfortably elected as a Senator and Minority Leader?
Can you just imagine the uproar if this were Senator Frist's wife were a lobbyist and Frist was pushing her clients' legislation through the Senate (not to mention the obvious crooked deals involved) with his influence as Majority Leader?
But as we all know, there are two standards at work here: the Honest Standard and the usual Liberal Standard!
