Is anyone watching Gretta on Fox. Scott Ritter is like a rabid dog. Gretta was threatening to cut the lunatic off repeatedly.

I am absolutely convinced Ritter was on the take from the Iraqi government during the first inspections, and is terrified that fact will come out if we go in.

See this thread:

Grim truth about to emerge in Iraq - (Christopher Hitchens)

I can add some further detail, which is somewhat better than anecdotal. A very senior former inspector, who is a highly-regarded international civil servant, told me that he had been offered his own personal Swiss bank account by a top official in Saddam's government, on condition that he produced a favourable report.

HE declined the offer, which he later discovered had been accepted by some junior members of his staff.

I think one of the questions went something like : "General, what do you think the next steps for the Scott I am going to cut off your mic if you do not let the General answer this one inspectors after finding these warheads."

it was abstractly very funny.

George W. Bush wouldn't have been saying that Iraq has WMD if he didn't have proof that they have WMD.

I hate to expose myself as such a Pollyanna, but I also don't believe that GWB will send one American military man or woman into harm's way unless it's for the defense of the U.S. He doesn't have any interns testifying whom he needs to keep off the front pages.

Can you briefly refresh my memory on who this guy is? I remember his name and had a favorable impression. I keep hearing he's done a 180 concerning Iraq.
