The truth is that the political parties already sell and exchange mailing lists. The FEC was merely asked whether or not the McCain-Feingold law changed that. It appears to be prepared to answer that it does not.

I knew they did to some extent but wasn't sure how far it went.... The 'conservative watchdog group' [because no one is above the law] got into an altercation with some Republican group over the exchange of mailing list.
